SRINAGAR: February 17, 2017: All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani who continues to be under house detention, was not again allowed to offer Friday prayers by police. Condemning the autocratic and egoistic behaviour of rulers and its authorities, a spokesman of the Huriyat, in a statement today, said the amalgam chairman is not being allowed to offer Friday prayers for the last so many years. It was in Omer Abdula’s regime that curbs and restrictions were imposed and pro-freedom leader was barred from offering prayers. This practice was followed by then Chief Minister, late Mufti Syed, said spokesman and now Mehbooba Mufti too is following the same policy. Meanwhile Huriyat Conference while strongly condemning state authorities said that coalition led by PDP & BJP has turned state virtually in a big jail & more than six hundred pro-freedom leaders and activists are still languishing in different jails .Commenting over the continuous detention of resistance leaders and activists including Sheikh Mohamad Yousef, Ab Subhan Wani, Mohamad Rustum Bhat, Amir hamza Shah, Ab. Khaliq Regu, Ab. Rehman Tantray, Bashir Ahmad Sofi, Sheikh Mohammad Ramzan, Mohamad Shaban Dar, Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Mohamad Yusuf Lone, Ab Majid Rather, Hakim-u-Rehman Sultani, Nazir Ahmad War, Mohammad Ashraf War, Abdul Manan, Lateef Ahmad Kalo,Gh Mohidin Pundit, Sajad Ahmad War, Nazir Ahmad Tantrey ,Mohamad Abdullah Bhat, Ab Salam Mir ,Mohamad Ramzan Bhat , Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Gh Nabi Najar & Sajad Ahmad Mir ,Huriyat said that most of those detained are elderly. Huriyat while furnishing details about prisoners said that more than hundred were bailed out by court, however police didn’t release them and are lodged in police lockups. Huriyat said PSA was slapped again on forty detainees & those detainees who served & completed detention period are illegally detained without assigning any reason. Most of the detainees after furnishing bail documents were not released, instead booked against fresh and baseless allegations and FIR stand registered against them, thereby prolonging their detention, said spokesman. Huriyat conference in its appeal to organisation for human rights asked to take cognizance of pitiable plight of detainees and use their influence for their release. Those involved in these heinous attacks are not human beings and demanded exemplary and stringent action against culprits. Syed Ali Geelani said that it is a well-thought-out conspiracy to defame and malign this country and said that Pakistan faces cross border terrorism. Blaming India for instigating and promoting terrorism in Pakistan, Syed Ali Geelani said that Afghanistan is being used as launching paid for terrorist activities. Urging Pakistan administration, people and political leaders, Syed Ali Geelani asked to come on one page, crush these elements, isolate all those escalating troubles and take stringent action as per law of land. SRINAGAR: February 17, 2017: Stating that the Huriyat chairman, Syed Ali Geelani is stable, the party spokesman, Ayaz Akbar on Friday asked people not pay heed over the rumours regarding Geelani’s health status. “Some people are spreading rumours regarding the health of Geelani sahib. The party chief is stable,” Ayaz Akbar told, adding that the people must not pay heed over the rumours. It is immoral and forbidden in Islam to spread rumours, said Ayaz Akbar. SRINAGAR: February 17, 2017: As per joint programme of resistance camp, leaders and workers of various resistance groups staged a peaceful protest in nook and corner of state and protested killings and paid their heartfelt tributes to slain youth. A demonstration outside the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar was held in which Peer Saif ullah, Mohamad Yusuf Mujtahid, Ab Hamid Magrey, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Zahoor ul Haq, Nisar Ahmad, Arshid Ahmad & Gazi Javed participated. Peer Saif Ullah and Ab Hamid Magrey in a brief address to gathering while castigating PDP led coalition for their inhuman and brute policies against people of state, said that the situation has turned from bad to worse and killing graph has gone up. Blaming Indian authorities for continuous bloodshed in state, Peer Saif Ullah said it is the outcome of their inflexible, egoistic & stubborn attitude. The gloomy situation and uncertainty failed to move Indian authorities, said Peer Saif ullah. While referring to people’s uprising in year 2016, Peer Saif ullah said that it is that however Indian authorities failed to heed to the screams and thus situation turned explosive.
