Srinagar\25\\: Today a meeting was held at Hyderpora which was presided by chairman Hurriyat Sayed Ali Geelani in which they took stock of the situations after the destructive floods and the relief distribution process and the future strategy was discussed. Chairman central relief committee Peer Saifullah presented the reports received from different districts and the report cards of the officials and activists of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in the meeting. The meeting discussed the praise worthy character and hard work of the district officials particularly district president Kupwara Mohammad Yousuf Lone, district president Budgam Tashowq Ahmad Banday, district president Srinagar and Ganderbal Raja Mehraj-ud-din, district president Pulwama Mohi-ud-din Andrabi and district president Shopian Shakeel Ahmad Yattoo and those workers and activists who helped them to collect and transport the relief material to the needy people and different relief centers. The central relief committee today sent a delegation comprising of Dr. G.M Ganai, Molvi Mehraj-ud-din Rabaani, Molvi Mudasir Ahmad Nadvi and Rameez Raja to Doda and Kishtaward where they can collect the relief material for the flood hit people of the valley while as a team led by Dr. Naseem Geelani today visited many areas of Eidgah and another team led by Raja Mehraj-ud-din visited Sonawari areas where they distributed ration and different relief material amoung the affected people and expressed sympathy with them. The central relief committee today held a mobile medical camp at Khelan Pulwama under the supervision of Mohammad Ashruf Laya in which free treatment and free medicine was distributed amoung hundreds of patients. The people of the areas expressed their satisfaction over the character played by the volunteers of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in helping the needy people. Today many delegations from outside the state visited Hyderpora to meet Geelani sahib and asked for his health conditions and they their selves witnessed the relief work for the flood victims which is conducted by the central relief committee. A high level delegation from Amritsar Punjab led by Jathydar Awtar Singh expressed sympathy with the Kashmiri nation and said that we stand with the people in this hour of grief and wants to help the flood hit victims. Geelani sahib thanked the Sikh delegation and said that the destruction in Jammu & Kashmir is beyond the estimation and the people with human hart should come forward to help the rehabilitation of the flood hit people. A delegation of an NGO from Bhopal today visited Hyderpora and closely witnessed the relief work and the distribution process of the relief committee. Today another delegation of Jamayat Ulma-i-Hind also met with Geelani sahib at his residence and expressed their sympathy with the Kashmiri people. Hurriyat chairman thanked all the delegations and said that Kashmiries are conscious people and they will Inshahallah come out of this mess but those people will be always remembered who helped us in these trying times. Geelani sahib said that the donation and aid of the NGOs can feed us for a limited time but the devastation and the destruction caused by the recent floods is such a huge loss that can only be compensated through the international aid. If India continues to restrict and stop the international aid to the flood victims of the Jammu & Kashmir, the state will face worst kind of situation for decades and thousands of families will suffer due to starvation.
